The bill would amend the Government Code to expand certain activities of the Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force within the Office of the Attorney General. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Based on the LBB's analysis of the Office of the Attorney General, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
