| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 504.202, Transportation Code, is amended | |
| 12 | 12 | by adding Subsection (j) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (j) A motor vehicle displaying license plates issued under | |
| 14 | 14 | this section may use any high occupancy vehicle lane in this state | |
| 15 | 15 | regardless of the number of occupants in the vehicle unless the use | |
| 16 | 16 | would violate federal transit or highway funding restrictions. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
