A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the use of high occupancy vehicle lanes by motor
vehicles displaying license plates issued to veterans with
disabilities.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 504.202, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (j) to read as follows:
(j) A motor vehicle displaying license plates issued under
this section may use any high occupancy vehicle lane in this state
regardless of the number of occupants in the vehicle unless the use
would violate federal transit or highway funding restrictions.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
