| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 403.024, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (b-1) For each contract entered into by a state agency, the | |
| 13 | 13 | database of state expenditures at a minimum must include: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) the date the contract was signed; | |
| 15 | 15 | (2) the expiration date or projected completion date | |
| 16 | 16 | of the contract; | |
| 17 | 17 | (3) a description of the goods or services purchased | |
| 18 | 18 | or the purpose of the contract; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (4) the value of the contract. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
| 21 | 21 | to a contract entered into or renewed on or after the effective date | |
| 22 | 22 | of this Act. A contract entered into or renewed before the | |
| 23 | 23 | effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect | |
| 24 | 24 | immediately before that date, and that law is continued in effect | |
| 25 | 25 | for that purpose. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
