A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the availability of state agency contracting
information on the comptroller's Internet website.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 403.024, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
(b-1) For each contract entered into by a state agency, the
database of state expenditures at a minimum must include:
(1) the date the contract was signed;
(2) the expiration date or projected completion date
of the contract;
(3) a description of the goods or services purchased
or the purpose of the contract; and
(4) the value of the contract.
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
to a contract entered into or renewed on or after the effective date
of this Act. A contract entered into or renewed before the
effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect
immediately before that date, and that law is continued in effect
for that purpose.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
