| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 403, Government Code, is | |
| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 403.0307 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 403.0307. REPORT ON FINANCIAL IMPACT OF UNDOCUMENTED | |
| 13 | 13 | IMMIGRANTS. (a) Not later than September 1 of each year, the | |
| 14 | 14 | comptroller shall publish a report containing a comprehensive | |
| 15 | 15 | financial analysis of the impact of undocumented immigrants on the | |
| 16 | 16 | state budget and economy. | |
| 17 | 17 | (b) For purposes of the annual report, the comptroller shall | |
| 18 | 18 | apply the methodology used for the comptroller's special report, | |
| 19 | 19 | "Undocumented Immigrants in Texas: A Financial Analysis of the | |
| 20 | 20 | Impact to the State Budget and Economy," published in December | |
| 21 | 21 | 2006. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 2. The comptroller shall publish the first report | |
| 23 | 23 | required under Section 403.0307, Government Code, as added by this | |
| 24 | 24 | Act, not later than September 1, 2016. | |
| 25 | 25 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
