205 relating to authority to establish, operate, and maintain a foreign
216 trade zone at or adjacent to the Pharr port of entry.
227 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
238 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 681, Business & Commerce
249 Code, is amended by adding Section 681.179 to read as follows:
2510 Sec. 681.179. CITY OF PHARR OR DESIGNEE. The City of Pharr,
2611 or a corporation organized under the laws of this state and
2712 designated by the City of Pharr, may apply for and accept a grant of
2813 authority to establish, operate, and maintain:
2914 (1) a foreign trade zone at or adjacent to the Pharr
3015 port of entry; and
3116 (2) other subzones.
3217 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
3318 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
3419 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
3520 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3621 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
