                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 14, 2015      TO: Honorable Byron Cook, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2627 by Coleman (Relating to creation of a task force to study population growth in the state.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would create the Task Force to Study Population Growth in Texas to assess the effect of population growth on housing, businesses, land resources and the economy. The bill would establish the duties, compensation, and composition of the task force, including the manner in which appointments to the task force are made. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of each house; otherwise, it would take effect on September 1, 2015.
