 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to prohibiting the online posting of certain documents
 submitted to the chief appraiser of an appraisal district in an
 application for an exemption from ad valorem taxation.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 11, Tax Code, is amended by
 adding Section 11.49 to read as follows:
 Sec. 11.49.  SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS. (a)  In this section,
 "supporting document" means a document required by this code or
 other law to be filed with the chief appraiser to demonstrate a
 person's eligibility for an exemption from ad valorem taxation.
 (b)  The chief appraiser may not post on the appraisal
 district's Internet website a supporting document included with an
 application for an exemption filed with the chief appraiser.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
