A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to prohibited denial of a stay of proceedings for a
contested case for which an interlocutory appeal has been filed.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 2001, Government Code, is
amended by adding Section 2001.063 to read as follows:
Sec. 2001.063. INTERLOCUTORY APPEAL. A state agency or an
administrative law judge may not deny a request for a stay of
proceedings in a contested case for which an interlocutory appeal
has been filed.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
