A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to turning a motor vehicle in an intersection; adding a
provision subject to a criminal penalty.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 545.101, Transportation Code, is amended
by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
(f) Notwithstanding Subsections (a), (b), (c), and (d), if
two or more lanes are designated as turning lanes, an operator using
a turning lane may not change lanes while making the turn.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
