| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 2306.097, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 11 | 11 | adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter or | |
| 13 | 13 | the rules adopted under this chapter, money administered under this | |
| 14 | 14 | section may be used for any purpose and in any manner that complies | |
| 15 | 15 | with federal law if the recipient of that money certifies in writing | |
| 16 | 16 | to the department that the recipient cannot use any of the remaining | |
| 17 | 17 | money in compliance with this chapter or the rules adopted under | |
| 18 | 18 | this chapter. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
