A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the use of money administered through the Energy
Services Program for Low-Income Individuals.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 2306.097, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter or
the rules adopted under this chapter, money administered under this
section may be used for any purpose and in any manner that complies
with federal law if the recipient of that money certifies in writing
to the department that the recipient cannot use any of the remaining
money in compliance with this chapter or the rules adopted under
this chapter.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
