| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. The heading to Section 461.009, Transportation |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Sec. 461.009. [ELIGIBILITY OF VISITORS TO USE CERTAIN] |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. |

| 15 | 15 | | SECTION 2. Section 461.009, Transportation Code, is amended |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (c) A provider shall notify individuals who reside in the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | provider's service area and are eligible to use the provider's |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | services that the individuals are entitled to use another |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | provider's service for not more than 21 days without an additional |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | application. |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
|---|
