The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to allow the Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) to enter into a joint agreement with an institution of higher education regarding the financing and construction of conference centers and related facilities in or near state parks. Any such facility would be required to be operated cooperatively between TPWD and the institution of higher education. Based on information provided by TPWD, this analysis assumes that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
