The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Texas Historical Commission (THC) to cooperate with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to designate Westside Drive in El Paso County as the Don Juan de Onate Trail and a Texas historic highway.Based on the information provided by THC and TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
