| 13 | 7 | SECTION 1. Section 521.249(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 14 | 8 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 9 | (a) The court shall send a certified copy of the petition | |
| 16 | 10 | and the court order setting out the judge's findings and | |
| 17 | 11 | restrictions to the department. The person may use a copy of the | |
| 18 | 12 | order as a restricted license until the 45th [31st] day after the | |
| 19 | 13 | date on which the order takes effect. | |
