115 relating to the designation of a segment of Farm-to-Market Road
126 1301 in Wharton County as the Master Sergeant Mike C. Peña Memorial

148 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
159 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
1610 is amended by adding Section 225.103 to read as follows:
1711 Sec. 225.103. MASTER SERGEANT MIKE C. PEÑA MEMORIAL
1812 HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of Farm-to-Market Road 1301 in Wharton
1913 County between its intersection with the Matagorda County line and
2014 Richmond Road is designated as the Master Sergeant Mike C. Peña
2115 Memorial Highway. The designation is in addition to any other
2216 designation.
2317 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
2418 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
2519 designation as the Master Sergeant Mike C. Peña Memorial Highway
2620 and any other appropriate information; and
2721 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2822 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2923 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
