| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 228, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | is amended by adding Section 228.0531 to read as follows: |

| 13 | 13 | | Sec. 228.0531. TOLLS FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES ON STATE HIGHWAY |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 130. To encourage an operator of a vehicle or combination of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | vehicles with three or more axles to use State Highway 130, the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | commission and the department shall develop a program to discount |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | or adjust toll rates for a vehicle or combination of vehicles with |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | three or more axles traveling on Segments 1-4 of State Highway 130. |

| 19 | 19 | | SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2016, the Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Transportation Commission and the Texas Department of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Transportation shall develop and implement the toll rate adjustment |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | program required by Section 228.0531, Transportation Code, as added |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | by this Act. |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
