| 24 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 25 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Chapter 28, Alcoholic Beverage Code, is amended |
|---|
| 26 | 9 | | by adding Section 28.135 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 27 | 10 | | Sec. 28.135. DESIGNATION OF LICENSED PREMISES FOR PERMITS |
|---|
| 28 | 11 | | COVERING CERTAIN COUNTY-OWNED FACILITIES. (a) This section |
|---|
| 29 | 12 | | applies only to a facility that is: |
|---|
| 30 | 13 | | (1) partially located in a municipality that: |
|---|
| 31 | 14 | | (A) has a population of less than 40,000; and |
|---|
| 32 | 15 | | (B) is located in a county with a population less |
|---|
| 33 | 16 | | than 70,000; and |
|---|
| 34 | 17 | | (2) a county-owned civic center that consists of |
|---|
| 35 | 18 | | adjacent buildings not all of which are located in the municipality |
|---|
| 36 | 19 | | described by Subdivision (1). |
|---|
| 37 | 20 | | (b) Notwithstanding any other law, all buildings comprising |
|---|
| 38 | 21 | | a facility described by Subsection (a) may be designated as and |
|---|
| 39 | 22 | | considered the licensed premises for purposes of a mixed beverage |
|---|
| 40 | 23 | | permit covering the facility. |
|---|
| 41 | 24 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
