55 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
66 AN ACT
77 relating to the authority of the Cash Special Utility District to
88 issue bonds.
99 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1010 SECTION 1. Subtitle C, Title 6, Special District Local Laws
1111 Code, is amended by adding Chapter 7217 to read as follows:
1212 CHAPTER 7217. CASH SPECIAL UTILITY DISTRICT
1313 SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1414 Sec. 7217.001. DEFINITION. In this chapter, "district"
1515 means the Cash Special Utility District.
1616 SUBCHAPTER B. BONDS
1717 Sec. 7217.051. AUTHORITY TO ISSUE BONDS. (a) The district
1818 has the rights, powers, duties, and obligations of an issuer under
1919 Chapter 1371, Government Code.
2020 (b) Sections 49.181 and 49.182, Water Code, do not apply to
2121 the district.
2222 SECTION 2. (a) The legal notice of the intention to
2323 introduce this Act, setting forth the general substance of this
2424 Act, has been published as provided by law, and the notice and a
2525 copy of this Act have been furnished to all persons, agencies,
2626 officials, or entities to which they are required to be furnished
2727 under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, and Chapter 313,
2828 Government Code.
2929 (b) The governor, one of the required recipients, has
3030 submitted the notice and Act to the Texas Commission on
3131 Environmental Quality.
3232 (c) The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has filed
3333 its recommendations relating to this Act with the governor, the
3434 lieutenant governor, and the speaker of the house of
3535 representatives within the required time.
3636 (d) All requirements of the constitution and laws of this
3737 state and the rules and procedures of the legislature with respect
3838 to the notice, introduction, and passage of this Act are fulfilled
3939 and accomplished.
4040 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
