                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 1, 2015      TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB978 by Price (Relating to the designation of the Route 66 Historic Corridor.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Government Code to designate segments of former US Highway 66 as the Route 66 Historic Corridor.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. The Texas Historical Commission indicated that the costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
