| 13 | 7 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 442, Government Code, is | |
| 14 | 8 | amended by adding Section 442.030 to read as follows: | |
| 15 | 9 | Sec. 442.030. ROUTE 66 HISTORIC CORRIDOR. (a) The | |
| 16 | 10 | commission shall identify relevant segments of former U.S. Highway | |
| 17 | 11 | 66 located in this state that are still in use and designate those | |
| 18 | 12 | segments as a historic corridor. | |
| 19 | 13 | (b) The historic corridor designated by the commission | |
| 20 | 14 | shall be known as the Route 66 Historic Corridor. | |
| 21 | 15 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | |
