Click here to see the committee vote A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the designation of the Route 66 Historic Corridor. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 442, Government Code, is amended by adding Section 442.030 to read as follows: Sec. 442.030. ROUTE 66 HISTORIC CORRIDOR. (a) The commission shall identify relevant segments of former U.S. Highway 66 located in this state that are still in use and designate those segments as a historic corridor. (b) The historic corridor designated by the commission shall be known as the Route 66 Historic Corridor. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. * * * * *
