13 | 14 | | nine college graduates: Jose Garza Jr., Odilia Garza Ochoa, Yolanda |

14 | 15 | | Garza Guerrero, Telca Garza Porras, Jose Guadalupe Garza, Mario |

15 | 16 | | Garza, Homero Garza, Diego Garza, and Hector E. Garza; and |

17 | 18 | | children has now been passed on to Jose and Eva's grandchildren and |

18 | 19 | | great-grandchildren, and today, 38 members of the Garza family have |

19 | 20 | | graduated from college; this remarkable triumph was recognized by |

20 | 21 | | the Smithsonian Center for Latino Initiatives, which featured the |

21 | 22 | | family in the "Our Journeys/Our Stories: Portraits of Latino |

22 | 23 | | Achievement" exhibit at the National Museum of American History; |

24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, With limited means yet a love that knew no |

25 | 26 | | boundaries, Jose and Eva Garza charted a course for their family |

26 | 27 | | that would lead them into successful careers across many |

27 | 28 | | disciplines, and their inspiring story strikes a chord in the heart |

28 | 29 | | of every parent who ever dreamed of a better life for their child; |
