| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Imogene Giesinger Elementary School in Conroe has |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The Blue Ribbon designation recognizes schools that |

| 11 | 12 | | disadvantaged student population; presented with the honor for its |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | overall academic excellence, Giesinger Elementary is among 25 |

| 13 | 14 | | campuses in Texas and fewer than 300 public and private schools in |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | the nation to be selected as Blue Ribbon Schools in 2014; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Under the skillful guidance of principal Rebecca |

| 16 | 17 | | Shepard Page, Giesinger Elementary has been rated "Exemplary" by |

| 17 | 18 | | the Texas Education Agency for three of the past five years, and in |

| 18 | 19 | | 2014, the school was named a Title I Reward School based on student |

| 19 | 20 | | performance and improvement; these accomplishments are a testament |

| 20 | 21 | | to the school's success in creating an engaging learning |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | environment in which the individual strengths and needs of each |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | student are considered, as well as to its productive efforts to |

| 23 | 24 | | encourage the involvement of parents and community volunteers in |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Through their diligence, hard work, and dedication, |
