| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Tandy Boyd, an English teacher at Buna High School, |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, EFFCU, in partnership with local news station KFDM, |

| 10 | 11 | | chose Mrs. Boyd as the first educator to receive the monthly Golden |

| 11 | 12 | | Apple Educator Award in recognition of her commitment to excellence |

| 12 | 13 | | in teaching and her dedication to student success; in addition to |

| 13 | 14 | | the award, she was given a $500 check and was featured on the KFDM |

| 14 | 15 | | Channel 6 Morning Show; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Boyd has been with the Buna Independent School |

| 16 | 17 | | District for more than 22 years, and she currently teaches English |

| 17 | 18 | | IV, AP English, and an SAT tutorial class at BHS; the energy and |

| 18 | 19 | | encouragement she brings to the classroom serve to inspire students |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Tandy Boyd exemplifies the qualities that are the |
