| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A locally owned and operated restaurant can play a |

| 7 | 8 | | Coffee Bar has been satisfying customers in Corpus Christi since |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Founders Jason and Hester Rodriguez opened their |

| 10 | 11 | | first restaurant in the Six Points neighborhood, and today they |

| 11 | 12 | | operate two additional locations, one in Lamar Park and the other in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the Art Museum of South Texas; the popular local chain employs 60 |

| 13 | 14 | | staff members, including the owners' son, Mathew; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Over the past nine years, Hester's Café and Coffee |

| 15 | 16 | | Bar has gained a loyal following, and members of the Rodriguez |

| 16 | 17 | | family may take pride in their contributions to the Corpus Christi |

| 17 | 18 | | community; now, therefore, be it |

| 18 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 19 | 20 | | Legislature hereby recognize Hester's Café and Coffee Bar in Corpus |
