| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Alfredo |

| 6 | 7 | | L. Flores of San Antonio, who died on November 5, 2014, at the age of |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Fred Flores was born on November 30, 1940, in San |

| 9 | 10 | | Antonio, one of 14 children of Nicolas and Anita Flores; he was a |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, worked for a time as a private |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | investigator, and operated a successful business, the Speedway Inn, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | for more than 35 years; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Flores was the loving |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | husband of Sylvia, the proud father of three children, Robert, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Alfredo, and Denise, an adoring grandfather of three, and a father |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | figure to his nieces and nephews, all of whom were inspired by his |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | kind and supportive nature; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, He collected antiques, fished, and traveled in his |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | leisure time, and he particularly enjoyed watching the Dallas |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Cowboys and old western movies; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Fred Flores lived a caring and purposeful life, and |

| 22 | 23 | | he will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who held |

| 23 | 24 | | him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
