| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas |

| 6 | 6 | | is pleased to recognize Lila Aguirre, who has been selected for |

| 7 | 7 | | induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio Women's Hall of |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Fame for her outstanding work in civic leadership; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of a lifetime of community |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | leadership in San Antonio, Lila Aguirre has generously and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | unceasingly devoted her time to advancing the community and making |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | the city a more vibrant community; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Her actions in these areas have taken many forms, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | including her work with the organizations, Hispanic Women's Network |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | of Texas, Texas Democratic Women, and her service on the |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | City/County Joint Commission on Elderly Affairs, which works to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | improve the quality of life for seniors in San Antonio and Bexar |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | County through outreach, advocacy, and support of senior services |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | and resources; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of |

| 25 | 25 | | Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Lila Aguirre for her |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on her |
