5	5	WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
6	6	is pleased to recognize Margaret Guzman Mireles, who has been
7	7	selected for induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio
8	8	Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work in leadership in
9	9	education; and
10	10	WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
11	11	annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
12	12	the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
13	13	accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
14	14	WHEREAS, A longtime supporter of the education of Bexar
15	15	County youth, she is a retired schoolteacher who mentored and
16	16	developed not only her students but other teachers and support
17	17	staff as well; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Her insights in public education were further
19	19	applied when she served her community again on the Board of Trustees
20	20	of the San Antonio Independent School District; now, therefore, be
21	21	it
22	22	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
23	23	Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Margaret Guzman Mireles for
24	24	her exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on
25	25	her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it
26	26	further
27	27	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
28	28	prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
29	29	Texas House of Representatives.
