H.R. No. 1334
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
is pleased to recognize Margaret Guzman Mireles, who has been
selected for induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio
Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work in leadership in
education; and
WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
WHEREAS, A longtime supporter of the education of Bexar
County youth, she is a retired schoolteacher who mentored and
developed not only her students but other teachers and support
staff as well; and
WHEREAS, Her insights in public education were further
applied when she served her community again on the Board of Trustees
of the San Antonio Independent School District; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Margaret Guzman Mireles for
her exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on
her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
Texas House of Representatives.
