 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
 is pleased to recognize Martha K. Spinks, who has been selected for
 induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio Women's Hall of
 Fame for her outstanding work and leadership in support of the
 military; and
 WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
 annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
 the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
 accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
 WHEREAS, Martha K. Spinks was an Army spouse before being
 commissioned as an Army social work officer, and she and her husband
 raised two children during their Army career, rising to the rank of
 Lieutenant Colonel; and
 WHEREAS, She has been the Director of Bexar Area Agency on
 Aging for Alamo Area Council of Governments in San Antonio, Texas,
 since June 2009 and in that role has made veterans and their
 families a
 priority group for information, referral and assistance
 services and has worked closely with the San Antonio Coalition for
 Veterans and other groups to provide services to those who have
 bravely served us; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
 Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Martha K. Spinks for her
 exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on her
 induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
