H.R. No. 1340
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives of the State of Texas
is pleased to recognize Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau, who has been
selected for induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio
Women's Hall of Fame for her outstanding work and leadership in
public service; and
WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame
annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to
the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their
accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and
WHEREAS, When Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau was elected as the
first female sheriff of Bexar County it was yet another significant
barrier shattered by her; and
WHEREAS, She also has been the first woman to command the Air
Force ROTC and has commanded the 3700th Personnel Resources Group
Air Force Military Training Center in Lackland Air Force Base from
1988 to 1989; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of
Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Susan Lewellyn Pamerleau
for her exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her
on her induction into the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her as an expression of high regard and esteem by the
Texas House of Representatives.
