| 7 | 7 | | is pleased to recognize Amy L. Gowder, who has been selected for |

| 8 | 8 | | induction on March 21, 2015, into the San Antonio Women's Hall of |

| 9 | 9 | | Fame for her outstanding work and leadership in technology; and |

| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Since 1984, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | annually honors those women who have contributed significantly to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | the San Antonio community and the Bexar County region through their |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | accomplishments in their profession or field of service; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Amy L. Gowder is Vice President & General Manager of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Lockheed Martin Kelly Aviation Center’s two locations, San Antonio, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Texas, and Montreal, Canada, supporting eleven engine lines that |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | power more than 15 military and commercial aircraft and builds the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | power plants for the F-16 and F-15 fighter jets; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This MIT graduate continues to lead on the cutting |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | edge of technology by serving on San Antonio College’s Challenger |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Learning Center Advisory Council and by serving as a member of the |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Association of Manufacturing Excellence; she was also recently |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | named a “Top 40 under 40” aviation executive by Aviation Week; now, |

| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the State of |

| 26 | 26 | | Texas, 84th Legislature, hereby commend Amy L. Gowder for her |

| 27 | 27 | | exceptional achievements and extend congratulations to her on her |
