 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Denco Area 9-1-1 District in Lewisville has
 received the 2015 Outstanding 9-1-1 Call Center/Program Award from
 the NG9-1-1 Institute; and
 WHEREAS, Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the institute is
 a not-for-profit organization that works with the Congressional
 NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus to promote the deployment of advanced,
 effective Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency services across the
 nation; it serves as a national clearinghouse and policy forum on
 NG9-1-1 issues, and since its inception in 2003, its membership has
 grown to include approximately 2,000 professionals, public safety
 officials, policy makers, researchers, and concerned citizens; and
 WHEREAS, The Denco Area 9-1-1 District implemented and
 maintains the 9-1-1 system for Denton County and the entire city of
 Carrollton, and it serves as the coordinating agency for 9-1-1
 emergency service; created by special election in 1987, the
 district sends emergency calls to public safety answering points at
 the Denton County Sheriff's Office and in the police departments of
 Carrollton, Denton, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Lake Dallas,
 Lewisville, Roanoke, The Colony, the University of North Texas, and
 Texas Woman's University; and
 WHEREAS, Through its exceptional service to the public, the
 Denco Area 9-1-1 District has saved countless lives and contributed
 immeasurably to the well-being of area citizens, and its management
 and staff may indeed take pride in this prestigious national
 accolade; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Denco Area 9-1-1 District on
 its receipt of the 2015 Outstanding 9-1-1 Call Center/Program Award
 from the NG9-1-1 Institute and extend to all those associated with
 the district sincere best wishes for continued success in their
 important work; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the district as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
