| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Those Texans who dedicate their time and talents to |

| 7 | 8 | | their actions and their example, and Antonio Ayub of El Paso is one |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, An alumnus of The University of Texas at El Paso and |

| 10 | 11 | | a licensed paramedic, Mr. Ayub enjoyed a fulfilling career as |

| 11 | 12 | | deputy chief of emergency medical services for the City of El Paso, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and following his retirement from that position in 1999, he joined |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the faculty of El Paso Community College; there, he works as a |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | professor and as program coordinator of the EMS curriculum, and he |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | has additionally served as a member of the school's core curriculum |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | and institutional effectiveness committees; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Ayub has further distinguished himself in his |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | community as president of the Montwood High School Band Boosters |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | and as a graduate of Leadership El Paso, a Greater El Paso Chamber |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | of Commerce initiative committed to addressing issues facing the |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | city; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Antonio Ayub has devoted his career to ensuring that |

| 23 | 24 | | emergency medical care is available to his fellow citizens, and his |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | efforts have earned him the profound gratitude of his neighbors and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | the lasting respect of his colleagues; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Antonio Ayub for his contributions to |

| 28 | 29 | | the El Paso community and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
