H.R. No. 1460 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Those Texans who dedicate their time and talents to benefit the larger community make the world a better place through their actions and their example, and Antonio Ayub of El Paso is one such person; and WHEREAS, An alumnus of The University of Texas at El Paso and a licensed paramedic, Mr. Ayub enjoyed a fulfilling career as deputy chief of emergency medical services for the City of El Paso, and following his retirement from that position in 1999, he joined the faculty of El Paso Community College; there, he works as a professor and as program coordinator of the EMS curriculum, and he has additionally served as a member of the school's core curriculum and institutional effectiveness committees; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ayub has further distinguished himself in his community as president of the Montwood High School Band Boosters and as a graduate of Leadership El Paso, a Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce initiative committed to addressing issues facing the city; and WHEREAS, Antonio Ayub has devoted his career to ensuring that emergency medical care is available to his fellow citizens, and his efforts have earned him the profound gratitude of his neighbors and the lasting respect of his colleagues; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby commend Antonio Ayub for his contributions to the El Paso community and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Ayub as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
