45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Members of the theatrical design team from Woodville
67 High School have achieved an outstanding level of success in recent
78 district and regional University Interscholastic League (UIL)
89 competitions; and
910 WHEREAS, The most comprehensive literary and academic
1011 contest in the nation, UIL motivates the more than half a million
1112 participants to acquire further knowledge and skills by providing
1213 them with opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of specific
1314 disciplines; and
1415 WHEREAS, In 2015, students from Woodville High performed
1516 admirably in the UIL theatrical design competition and advanced to
1617 the state competition; and
1718 WHEREAS, In addition to the school's team success, individual
1819 winners included Justin Livingston and Kelsey Hensarling, who
1920 qualified for state in the set category; and
2021 WHEREAS, The exceptional young theater students of Woodville
2122 High may take special pride in their success in the UIL competition,
2223 and their accomplishments are indeed worthy of special recognition;
2324 now, therefore, be it
2425 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
2526 Legislature hereby congratulate theatrical design students from
2627 Woodville High School on advancing to the UIL state meet and extend
2728 to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2829 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2930 prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3031 House of Representatives.
