No. 1514 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Members of the theatrical design team from Woodville High School have achieved an outstanding level of success in recent district and regional University Interscholastic League (UIL) competitions; and WHEREAS, The most comprehensive literary and academic contest in the nation, UIL motivates the more than half a million participants to acquire further knowledge and skills by providing them with opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of specific disciplines; and WHEREAS, In 2015, students from Woodville High performed admirably in the UIL theatrical design competition and advanced to the state competition; and WHEREAS, In addition to the school's team success, individual winners included Justin Livingston and Kelsey Hensarling, who qualified for state in the set category; and WHEREAS, The exceptional young theater students of Woodville High may take special pride in their success in the UIL competition, and their accomplishments are indeed worthy of special recognition; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate theatrical design students from Woodville High School on advancing to the UIL state meet and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the school as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
