| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Ryan Frederick Rumney of Boy Scouts of America Troop |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |

| 9 | 10 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |

| 10 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |

| 11 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. Rumney earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |

| 12 | 13 | | successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |

| 13 | 14 | | community, which involved constructing two benches for a cemetery |

| 14 | 15 | | in North Dallas; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, The son of Randy and Cindy Rumney, this fine young |

| 16 | 17 | | Texan has served as a troop leader, winning the respect and |

| 17 | 18 | | admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank |

| 18 | 19 | | that the organization offers; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Rumney has distinguished himself outside of |

| 20 | 21 | | scouting as well, earning recognition for his artistic talents and |

| 21 | 22 | | playing trumpet in the band at his high school; upon graduation, he |

| 22 | 23 | | plans to attend The University of Texas at Dallas; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Rumney's dedication to excellence and |

| 24 | 25 | | his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |

| 25 | 26 | | to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |

| 26 | 27 | | pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
