| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Daniela Gonzalez ably served her fellow Texans in |

| 7 | 8 | | 2015, as a participant in the Dallas County Community College |

| 8 | 9 | | District Legislative Internship program; and |

| 9 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Sponsored by the DCCCD Office of Student Life and |

| 10 | 11 | | Eastfield College, the program provides a unique opportunity for |

| 11 | 12 | | Dallas County Community College District students to serve as |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | interns in the Texas Legislature; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Gonzalez is a 2014 honors graduate of Sunset |

| 14 | 15 | | High School in Dallas, where she was a Texas Scholar and a member of |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | the National Honor Society, the track team, and the Key Club; she |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | has also served as a teacher's helper and tutor at Celestino |

| 17 | 18 | | Mauricio Soto Jr. Elementary School; currently in her first year at |

| 18 | 19 | | El Centro College, she is a member of the iLead Leadership Academy; |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, This impressive young woman performed her duties as |

| 21 | 22 | | a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she gained |

| 22 | 23 | | valuable work experience in the field of public service while |

| 23 | 24 | | learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | the citizens of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Daniela Gonzalez for her participation |

| 27 | 28 | | in the Dallas County Community College District Legislative |

| 28 | 29 | | Internship program and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
