R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Erika Gonzalez of Robstown was crowned Miss Coastal
Bend on February 22, 2015; and
WHEREAS, A young woman of exceptional poise and
determination, Ms. Gonzalez entered her first beauty pageant as a
toddler; she has participated in a number of pageants in the years
since, and she recently won in her division at the Miss Teen
Kingsville competition; and
WHEREAS, In her junior year of high school, this accomplished
Texan enjoys history, cheerleading, and practicing tumbling with
her friends; she currently works at a local restaurant and plans to
pursue a career in law; and
WHEREAS, Erika Gonzalez has demonstrated outstanding
dedication in successfully pursuing her goal, and she is a source of
great pride for her loved ones, her school, and her community; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Erika Gonzalez on being named Miss
Coastal Bend for 2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
