| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Shirley Kelm retired from her role as the organist |

| 6 | 7 | | of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Cameron in 2015, after 46 years |

| 7 | 8 | | of faithful service; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Kelm and her husband, Bill, were charter |

| 9 | 10 | | members of the church when it was organized in November 1968; since |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | that time, she has demonstrated her gift for worship music during |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | Sunday services with seven pastors; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Organ music contributes immeasurably to the |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | spiritual enrichment provided by a church service, and generations |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | of congregants at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church have greatly |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | benefited from the talent and enthusiasm that Shirley Kelm has |

| 16 | 17 | | brought to her playing; now, therefore, be it |

| 17 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |

| 18 | 19 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Shirley Kelm on her retirement as |

| 19 | 20 | | the organist of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church and extend to her |

| 20 | 21 | | sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
