| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Facing off against the top area squads, the students |

| 9 | 10 | | from Midway High demonstrated a keen knowledge of the facts and |

| 10 | 11 | | intricate details of their assigned case while arguing before |

| 11 | 12 | | judges and lawyers at the Baylor Law School and the McLennan County |

| 12 | 13 | | Courthouse; the team defeated West High School in the semifinals to |

| 13 | 14 | | advance to the final round, where they ultimately fell short of the |

| 14 | 15 | | regional title to Live Oak Classical School; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, With its runner-up finish, the team advanced to the |

| 16 | 17 | | Texas High School Mock Trial Competition in Dallas for the second |

| 17 | 18 | | consecutive year; there, Midway continued to perform well, narrowly |

| 18 | 19 | | missing out on the semifinals and finishing in fifth place overall |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, The members of the 2015 team are Hannah Johnson, |

| 22 | 23 | | Matthew Parsons, Ben Barker, Anthony Hejduk, Sam Richards, and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, These fine young Texans have shown great |
