| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Imogene |

| 6 | 7 | | Cobbs of Mineola, who passed away on September 19, 2014, at the age |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Lott on August 4, 1934, to A. W. and Eddie |

| 9 | 10 | | Holle, the former "Jean" Holle grew up with two sisters and three |

| 10 | 11 | | brothers; in 1952, she married John Cobbs, with whom she shared a |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | rewarding union of more than six decades; the couple became the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | proud parents of four children, Steve, Jim, Tom, and Tony, and with |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the passing years, they were further blessed with four |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | granddaughters, Stephanie, Elisabeth, Olivia, and Sevene; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Cobbs found fulfillment in her career with the |

| 16 | 17 | | Mineola Independent School District, where she worked as a |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | teacher's aide, librarian, and administrative assistant over the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | course of nearly a quarter-century; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Active in her community, Mrs. Cobbs was a valued |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | congregant at the First United Methodist Church of Mineola; she was |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | also a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the local chapter of the Order of |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | the Eastern Star; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Jean Cobbs took immense joy in her loved ones and in |

| 24 | 25 | | the time they spent together, and memories of her beautiful smile, |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | infectious laughter, and generosity of spirit will forever be |

| 26 | 27 | | treasured by all who had the good fortune to know her; now, |

| 28 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
