5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Dolan of the Corpus Christi Police |

7 | 8 | | and his service and sacrifice will not soon be forgotten; and |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, While traveling back to Corpus Christi on Farm to |

9 | 10 | | Market Road 624 in snowy conditions, Sergeant Dolan was involved in |

10 | 11 | | a fatal collision, when he lost control of his vehicle near Orange |

11 | 12 | | Grove and was struck by another car; he was a 24-year veteran of the |

12 | 13 | | department who had served in the United States Navy; at the time of |
---|
13 | 14 | | his death, Sergeant Dolan was survived by his wife and three |
---|
14 | 15 | | children; and |
---|
15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Our state and nation benefit immeasurably from the |

16 | 17 | | courage and commitment of law enforcement professionals such as |

17 | 18 | | Sergeant Dolan, who willingly place themselves in harm's way each |

18 | 19 | | day to safeguard the lives and property of their fellow citizens; |
