 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Sergeant Frank Dolan of the Corpus Christi Police
 Department lost his life in the line of duty on February 12, 1960,
 and his service and sacrifice will not soon be forgotten; and
 WHEREAS, While traveling back to Corpus Christi on Farm to
 Market Road 624 in snowy conditions, Sergeant Dolan was involved in
 a fatal collision, when he lost control of his vehicle near Orange
 Grove and was struck by another car; he was a 24-year veteran of the
 department who had served in the United States Navy; at the time of
 his death, Sergeant Dolan was survived by his wife and three
 children; and
 WHEREAS, Our state and nation benefit immeasurably from the
 courage and commitment of law enforcement professionals such as
 Sergeant Dolan, who willingly place themselves in harm's way each
 day to safeguard the lives and property of their fellow citizens;
 now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life and exemplary service of
 Sergeant Frank Dolan of the Corpus Christi Police Department.
