| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 7 | | of Larry Richard Larsen of Houston, who passed away on February 9, |

| 7 | 8 | | 2015, at the age of 68; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born on March 13, 1946, in Concordia, Kansas, Larry |

| 9 | 10 | | Larsen was the son of Arthur and Mildred Barleen Larsen; after |

| 10 | 11 | | graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | engineering, he went on to attend Wharton Graduate School at the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | University of Pennsylvania; a United States Army veteran, he served |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | his country during the Vietnam War, earning a Bronze Star; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Larsen worked for McKinsey & Company, Raymond |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | International, and Portman Grey Partners before joining the staff |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | of Powell Industries; he routinely went out of his way to lend |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | assistance and support to his colleagues at Powell and made many |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | friends along the way; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Larsen and his wife, Diane, shared a rewarding |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | marriage that spanned 45 years, and they became the proud parents of |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | a daughter, Kathryn; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Generous and outgoing, Larry Larsen enjoyed a life |

| 23 | 24 | | that was rich in the intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply |

| 24 | 25 | | missed by all those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
