 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
 the tragic loss of Misael Hernandez of El Paso, who died on June 13,
 2014, at the age of 17; and
 WHEREAS, This vibrant and energetic young man graduated from
 Horizon High School as the salutatorian of his class; possessing a
 keen intellect as well as a gift for music, he played the saxophone
 and served as a drum major for the school band, and he helped his
 Social Studies UIL team to win a district championship; he was
 preparing to attend The University of Texas at El Paso in the fall;
 and
 WHEREAS, A devout Christian, Mr. Hernandez strove to live
 according to the ideals and beliefs he held dear, and he was an
 active member of his church; his achievements made him an exemplary
 role model to his fellow students, and during the commencement
 speech that he delivered just days before his passing, he
 encouraged his classmates to pursue their dreams and ambitions,
 whatever they may be; and
 WHEREAS, Misael Hernandez was beloved by his family, friends,
 and neighbors in the community, and though his life ended far too
 soon, memories of his warmth and optimism will live forever in the
 hearts of those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Misael Hernandez
 and extend deepest condolences to his parents, Raquel and Francisco
 Hernandez; to his sisters, Ymaliz and Yaeli Hernandez; and to his
 other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Misael
 Hernandez.
